The Shikoku Experience as Our Foundation
The journey of Les Trois Clochettes draws its inspiration from the ancient paths of Shikoku Island, Japan. Between February and April 2025, we completed the pilgrimage of the 88 legendary temples—a journey spanning over 1,200 kilometers. More than a simple trek, this expedition served as the laboratory for our mission: a rigorous six-month preparation to harmonize the physical and social capacities of a diverse group.
Under the guidance of our teacher, we learned to transform sustained effort into a discipline of presence, refining the mechanics of movement and intuitive navigation. On the Japanese trails, we discovered that a collective project succeeds when it rests upon a shared intention and solid logistics.
While our pilgrimage route in Quebec is currently in the design phase, the Shikoku experience serves as its master plan. We are working to adapt this spirit to our Laurentian landscapes, creating an inclusive trail where physical effort becomes a tool for growth.
